Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge'2013

Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2013, again a great adventure thanks to the efforts of many. To begin with it starts with the passion and commitment of Fury Team Members. Special thanks to the most involved ones for this event,Vikram Dhar Michel M Fadel, Craig Tyson and most important my professional zero fault co-pilot Manie Kruis. What made it all possible the dedicated team from Zafco and Zdegree who were not only our sponsors but our fans and supporters throughout the event. Nitto tires our official sponsor deserves the most merit with the most capable tires I ever raced the Mud Grapplers. We drove at 10 psi pressure around 1000 kms of soft sand and gravel tracks. But the most astounding fact is that one day I had to reduce pressure to 6 psi for the rear 2 tires in very soft sand area and kept driving around 180 km with speeds reaching 170 km on gravel tracks with no problem at all. Our event was a huge success not only due to the fact of finishing 22nd out of 52 very competitive international teams but to the astounding achievement of racing in one of the toughest and demanding cross country event with no spare parts required. Our service consisted of only tightening bolts and fixing one hole in the radiator! Looking forward for new challenges with Fury Team and our committed sponsors Zafco, Zdegree and Nitto Tires.
